The United States of America

 I've had this vintage sampler of the United States for a long time. It has only 48 states which dates it to before 1959, the year Alaska and Hawaii made it 50.

It was framed when I found it.
It measures 16" wide X 13" high.

I removed it from the frame intending to one day turn it into a pillow.

 While putting away our Christmas decorations I came across a box of treasures I had squirreled away and found it tucked inside.

 

  
A few weekends ago, I came across the perfect piece of vintage blue ticking and remembered my little sampler that was waiting to be made into a pillow!

I think they are a match made in heaven!
