Beautiful Copenhagen Porcelain Lidded Tureen
It measures 10" in diameter and 8" high.
It is in mint condition.
B & G, Bing and Grondahl refer to the founders: Fred. Vilh. Grondahl (1819-1856), technical director; the brothers M.H. Bing (1819-1893) and J.H. Bing (1811-1896) as economical directors.
The three tower in the hallmark comes from the City Coat of Arms of Copenhagen. The mark on the bottom dates this piece between 1970 and 1983. Dish mark at the bottom is 512.
