1940's Vintage Dress Form

I found this vintage dress form while I was on vacation last week in Southern California.

This is the front 

and this is the back.

Notice the beautiful shoulder blades. 

  

I love the old ribbon/tape with the small brass nail heads.

It's quite old.

  I was told it was found at a garage sale in the Los Angeles area so of course I'm imagining that it's an old dress form that was used to create costumes from Hollywood's Golden Age.  

This is a view of the inside.
Body is a pulp composition covered with cloth and painted.

 I absolutely love the shade of pink inside!! 

I think it would be fabulous hung on a wall inside of a beautiful gilt wood frame.  How would you use it?
