I must admit I didn't know that's what it was until I took it to The Clock Shop to get a replacement key and see if it still worked.
All I knew was that it charmed me from the mantle where it sat among dozens of others that had been collected over a lifetime.
I've never been much for clocks, although I've known many who are fervid collectors.
Growing up, my Mom had a lot of clocks in the house. I still remember the sounds of them all chiming one after the other at the top of every hour.
There is something so reassuring about the tick tock, tick tock, of a clock that makes a house feel safe & sound, warm & cozy.
There is so much to love about this particular clock. It's just the right size and has the loveliest patina. I especially love the panel of reverse painted glass below the clock face.
It measures 7" wide
and 3 3/4" deep
And the best part is...
it works perfectly!
