The outer shell is beautiful.  The Nova Check lining is in excellent condition. All original buttons inside and out. There are no tears or stains. The wool liner is like new. The leather covering on the buckles shows some wear. Replacement leather covered buckles are available from Burberry if desired but are not necessary.

Burberry was founded by Thomas Burberry in 1856 in Hampshire England. It is a deeply loved fashion brand around the world - even after more than 150 years.

The famous trench coat lining is fashioned in the Traditional Haymarket plaid of light tan, white, black and red, and you will note the pattern is continuous with no inconsistencies in the plaid. The design is asymmetrical and lines up evenly at the seams.

The stitching is of very high quality - note the stitching around the buckle holes, and along the seams.

The pattern is authentic with 3 narrow black stripes with white in between.

The label fonts are consistent, and you can clearly see the B in the flag of the knight and read the word ‘prorsum’ in the banner standard. The label reads Burberrys which denotes the garment is pre-1999 when the company changed its name to Burberry.

The white label inside the pocket shows the name and serial number of the garment.

Burberry fashion has been granted the Royal Warrant, "by the British Queen Elizabeth II and the Prince of Wales".
